Summary

The Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management (ISKME), creator
of OER Commons, is helping to facilitate the Open Education Track of
what looks to be an exciting iCommons Summit 2007, taking place in
Eastern Europe during June 15th-17th.

Activists, artists, researchers, and educators from all corners of the
globe will share their knowledge and discuss issues related to
Internet freedoms and shifts in information, technology, and media
cultures. .

Special sessions devoted to collaboration, peer production, and trends
in open education are featured. In addition, we will help guide a
pre-day workshop focused on social networking and evaluative processes
for open educational content projects.

September 2007, ISKME named as one of five innovators from around the world to be honored for achievement in education by this year’s Tech Museum Awards: Technology Benefiting Humanity.
