More than ever before, school teachers and college faculty are searching the Web to find educational materials that are freely available and can be adapted for their own teaching. Please join us for an evening of conversation with educational leaders who are changing how instructors can collaborate to develop, modify and exchange materials such as lesson plans, assignments, lectures, assessments, and labs.
What are the limitations to adapting and customizing someone else’s materials?
For administrators, educators, parents, and policy leaders, what are the advantages of supporting instructors in developing curriculum from the Web? What are the disadvantages? Who determines quality?
The music industry is being transformed by file sharing. Can the sharing and use of freely available online resources engage more educators in developing high-quality teaching tools and create more "aha" moments for students?
