Amee Evans Godwin
Program Director

Amee Evans Godwin brings over a decade of experience in applied research and development of community and personalization applications. Her product and strategic marketing work focuses on technology, education, and collaboration. She joins ISKME to guide the development of content, interactivity, and partnerships for OER Commons (www.oercommons.org), an online network for open teaching and learning content. A director of award-winning video documentaries, Amee earned a Master Degree from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch School of the Arts. Formerly, at the Interval Research Corporation, she worked in development of new media applications before joining their spin-off company, ePlanet, as Senior Product Marketing Manager. Later, as Program Director at the community-led Sanchez Art Center, she managed outreach and education programs. Prior to joining ISKME, she was Creative Director in web production and a consultant to Media-Screen, San Francisco, in strategic market research for high tech firms and non-profit organizations. She completed a Fellowship in the Arts Leadership for the Future program for emerging non-profit leaders and community builders. amee@iskme.org

Cynthia Jimes received her Ph.D. in Information Science from Uppsala University in Sweden. Her academic research focused on how both face-to-face and technology-driven communication play a role in organizational learning and innovation. Before joining ISKME, Cynthia worked as an education data specialist at GreatSchools.net and focused on providing parents with information to inform their school choice and school improvement efforts. While living abroad (Sweden and the Netherlands), she also worked in the management consulting sector as a researcher and consultant. Cynthia’s research interests include how communication and employee perceptions are related to the creation of the organization, and how online communities create content collaboratively. She is also interested in research on the integration of parents and students into school and district knowledge management models. cynthia@iskme.org

Anastasia Karaglani received her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Southern California. Over the past 8 years, her work has focused on quantitative research, standards and assessment development. Prior to joining ISKME, she was a research associate at the Center for Research on the Context of Teaching at Stanford University. She was previously a research assistant at the National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing at UCLA, where she participated in the development of language arts performance assessments for the Los Angels Unified School district. anastasia@iskme.org

Clare Mortensen received her Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. Before joining ISKME, Clare was a Research Associate with the Humphrey Institute’s Public and Nonprofit Leadership Center, where her academic research focused on cross-sector collaboration and nonprofit management, governance and accountability, and policy implementation. Clare brings several years experience in fundraising, development and nonprofit program management. Clare received her B.A. in Sociology from Mills College in Oakland, CA. clare@iskme.org

Keri Morgret

Keri Morgret is the OER coordinator at ISKME, where she supports research and analysis efforts in the development of global OER initiatives. Her background and interests include online learning, usability, information design, social media, search engines, and information retrieval. She received her M.A. in Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University. keri@iskme.org

Thad Nodine has over a decade’s experience in education and higher education policy, from research and analysis to editorial management and strategic communications. Most recently, he is co-author, with Lisa Petrides, of Knowledge Management in Education: Defining the Discipline, and "What Schools Can Teach the Corporate World: Balancing People, Processes and Technology in Education," in KM Review. He has been managing editor of several publications, including Measuring Up 2000: The State-by-State Report Card for Higher Education and Losing Ground: A National Status Report on the Affordability of Higher Education. thad@iskme.org
 

  Lilly Nguyen
  Consultant

Lilly Nguyen is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Information Studies at UCLA. Her broader interests include new media, social software, digital culture, and information use and reuse. Her current research projects explore themes of noise, performativity, disorder, and meaning in digital cultural expression. She received her BA in Political Economy from UC Berkeley and her MSc in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Lisa Petrides, Ph.D. is president and founder of the Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME), an independent non-profit educational research institute located in Half Moon Bay, CA. Her research seeks to inform and improve the ways in which those in formal and informal education foster the creation and sharing of information, apply it to well-defined problems, and create knowledge-driven environments focused on improved learning and organizational success. Petrides also leads OER Commons (www.oercommons.org), an open source teaching and learning network that supports and facilitates the creation, sharing, and modification of open educational resources. A former visiting scholar at Stanford University and professor in the Department of Organization and Leadership at Columbia University, Teachers College, her research and teaching interests include information science, decision-making, and issues of access and equity in education. She received a Ph.D. in Education from Stanford University and an MBA from Sonoma State University, and was a postdoctoral fellow in Educational Policy Research Division at Educational Testing Service. lisa@iskme.org
