Job Duties:

ISKME, a nonprofit education research institution, seeking a Computer Programmer to join our development team, supporting the design and building of educational research tools. Work with our team of developers, project managers, designers, and librarian services staff to ensure successful integration of new features and improvements in our education applications. Under the immediate supervision of the Senior Developer (Software Developer-Applications), monitor performance of all ISKME Python-based sites.

Manage site maintenance, and work to resolve critical performance errors. 

Assist in performing code reviews, and ensuring the ongoing quality and consistency of the code base.

Meet deadlines based on agreed upon timelines and schedules, and provide feedback on coding of feature design and implementation in context of overall site architecture.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field and four years of programming experience.  

Required Skills and Experience:

4 years of programming experience including: Python programming language, Django web framework; PostgreSQL database engine; Demonstrated web programming skills using Javascript, HTML/CSS. Familiar with ASN and CASE representation of curriculum standards.
