The ARK

The Ark: A Digital Public Goods Library, is a library of public domain and openly licensed educational materials that have either lost their digital home, or are at risk. Shifting federal and institutional priorities and funding constraints have resulted in a significant number of important collections at risk for downsizing and closure. Many of these entities, such as the National Parks Service, NASA, and USAID have been key creators and publishers of high-quality educational materials available for use and adaptation.

The Ark, a collaboration of several nonprofit organizations, including the Internet Archive, the Data Rescue Project, and AAC&U, serves as a steward of public domain and openly licensed educational content, so that materials can be preserved, adapted, and kept in circulation for all educators, researchers, and learners.
