Project Start Date:
2008 The Griot project, an initiative of UC Berkeley's Leadership Connection for Justice in Education, seeks to support veteran school leaders in becoming griots, or messengers and actors of change who can re-imagine and reform urban schools to meet the needs of their diverse student bodies. As a thought partner in this initiative, ISKME is collaboratively developing an evaluation tool and process to promote and sustain the transfer of learning for leaders. The process and related tools will be designed to collect and analyze leadership data that shed light on in practices through participatory methodologies, including narrative capture, observations, and principal self-guided collection of data about leadership actions.
